About this property

This individual and very appealing detached house is tucked away in a semi-rural location on the edge of the sought-after East Devon village of old Feniton, enjoying a quiet country location without being isolated. The A30 and mainline railway station are both a few minutes’ drive away and the property enjoys fibre broadband.

The current owner has carried out a programme of modernisation and improvement to the property in recent years so that it now offers spacious and attractively presented accommodation which comprises a large reception hall, a spacious triple-aspect living room, a fitted kitchen with a dining area, and a conservatory. A useful study, cloakroom, and a utility complete the ground floor rooms.

Upstairs are 3 bedrooms including an ensuite shower to the master bedroom, and there is a large family bathroom. There is double glazing, oil-fired central heating and mains drainage.

    Outside
The driveway provides off-road parking for several vehicles and there is a detached double garage with an electrically operated door. The sunny gardens are a delight, being level and with a host of mature trees and plants. At the end of the garden and backing onto farmland is a large ‘secret’ garden making this an ideal home for gardening enthusiasts and/or those with children and pets.

    Directions
From Ottery St Mary proceed north out towards Fenny Bridges and then left out towards the old A30. Take the first right sign posted Fenny Bridges and into the village of Old Feniton. Go into the village and just beyond the second turning on the right (Curscombe Lane), turn right, sign-posted Feniton House. Proceed along the driveway past Feniton House on the right and Fir Tree House is at the end of the driveway behind it, on the left.

    Location
Feniton is a village and civil parish in East Devon, lying 4 miles west of Honiton, 3 miles north of Ottery St Mary, and 2 miles east of
Talton. Feniton Old Village is a charming village having a mobile Post Office that attends twice a week at the village hall, a church and bowls club. Approximately 1/2 a mile away is the newer part of the village, where there is a further range of facilities including a small supermarket and well regarded primary school. There is a mainline rail station on the London Waterloo line and the village is only 11 miles from the M5 via the A30 dual carriageway which is 1.5 miles from the village.
