Brickworks Says

Is it the creative use of colour? It could be the understated cool of the renovation. Whatever the reason, this house lifts the spirits in unexpected ways. From the sunshine yellow kitchen countertop to the lobster wallpaper in the blush shower room, colour is used with playful abandon.

But the appeal isn't skin deep. The current owners have done a stellar job remodelling the downstairs to create open and flexible spaces. At the front of the house, the comfortable living room is balanced with practical in-built cabinets accented in pink. At the back, an extended open-plan kitchen with a Rangemaster oven has been conceived with serious cooks in mind. Bi-fold doors connect the outside, extending the living space.

The colourful theme continues upstairs, from the bold hues in the smaller bedroom to the rich blue of the main bedroom. Combined with the panelling, it makes for a seriously grown-up retreat. The bathroom is modern and monochrome and big enough to share on busy mornings. At the very top, the renovated loft includes an office space overlooking the rooftops and another good-sized bedroom with elevated views.

Cunningham Road sits in the heart of resurgent Tottenham, a neighbourhood that has long attracted creative minds. A thriving arts scene coexists with a strong family-oriented community, offering a diverse culinary landscape, excellent transport links and abundant green spaces. With Walthamstow Wetlands and the River Lea a short stroll away, residents enjoy a balance of urban energy and tranquil green spaces.

The Owners Say

Cunningham Road is a hidden gem tucked away between the bustle of Seven Sisters and Tottenham Hale. We love the view of the road as you head home, turning off Broad Lane, with the unbroken line of parapet roofs on each side and the gable-fronted house on Tynemouth Road at the far end. We also love the sense of community among our neighbours, many of whom have become friends.

The space really works for a family like ours. We love the storage in the fitted cupboards and wardrobes. We love cooking in the kitchen while kids play in the dining area or the garden. We love a kitchen disco too! We love the way light streams into the main bedroom in the evening. We love this house and feel it has loved us back over the time we have lived here. We will be sad to leave, but we are sure someone else will love it just as much.
