About this property
Chain-free third floor ex-la flat with a great layout delivering three bedrooms
Welcome features include a new high-quality (Viessman) boiler, a recently-refurbished bathroom, fresh white walls, and double-glazing throughout.
The generous pad is located within a low-rise brick-built block which is set off the main road. In an excellent position, between Camberwell and Peckham’s town centres, and just a 12 minute walk from Denmark Hill Station (Fare Zone 2).
Your own front door is at first floor level. On entry, first on your right is your smart bathroom with over-bath shower; contemporary sanitary ware features here, teamed with monochrome fittings and large profile tiling.
Left of the hall and you’ll find your neat independent kitchen, with brick-style tiling, plenty of fitted units, and recently-fitted wooden worktops.
A run of four all-good-size rooms with big windows rests to the front of the building, to leafy views. These can be flexibly employed as you wish! The current owner has a three bedroom/one reception setup. You could instead enjoy the flat with two bedrooms and two reception rooms; for example if you wanted a dedicated dining room.
Denmark Hill is Fare Zone 2 and on the Overground network. You are also spoilt for choice of day and night buses on Peckham Road, whizzing you to Oval, Brixton and Elephant & Castle tube and beyond.
Cambers is quickly adding to an already-established list of greats (The Camberwell Arms, Hermits Cave, Theo’s, The Crooked Well and Grove Lane Tavern among others) - check out Veraison Wines, Gladwell’s, Forza Win and Little Cellars among others.
Local Peckham nightlife includes The Peckham Pelican, Peckham Levels and The Bussey Building & Copeland Park - the latter two are on Rye Lane. Rye Lane also serves you well for fruit and veg, and handy high street shops. Other very local spots for the daytime include South London Gallery and South London Louie (cafe), and toad bakery (worth the queue!).
Bellenden Road is a 15 minute stroll, for cafes and independent shops and restaurants. Not a chain in sight! We love Review for books, Ganapati (Keralan food at its sheer finest), Artusi and The General Store. Choumert Road is also close for Petitou cafe and The Montpelier pub.
For more options, it is a short bus ride or cycle for Brixton, Herne Hill, New Cross and Dulwich.
