A stone’s throw from Chestnuts Park in South Tottenham, this Victorian half-house cleverly uses every inch of space to create a carefully configured and welcoming home.
Brickworks Says
Don't let the "half-house" label fool you—this home is full of space and charm. A blend of pretty fireplaces and modern updates creates a serene and welcoming space. Think wooden floors, a sleek, modern kitchen, and eye-catching wallpaper, all bathed in sunlight from the south-facing garden.
Extending into the loft, the owners have created four versatile and stylish bedrooms spread over two floors, along with an ensuite shower room and a bathroom that pops with colour. Being sheltered and not directly overlooked, the garden feels like a room in itself, and the enormous palm provides shade in the summer and extra year-round privacy.
Conway Road sits within a pocket of Tottenham known for its strong community spirit (the local street parties are a testament to that!) and abundance of green spaces. Chestnuts, Downhills, and Lordship Rec parks are all within easy reach and perfect for running routes or downtime with family and friends. Delicious food is also close by: Dusty Knuckles is the only bakery you'll ever need (or want), and Sfizi & Delizie is on hand to satisfy all your deli and gelato urges. Plus, 33's Old Grocery Store, the newest spot in town, serves your every need, with coffee by day and cocktails by night.
The Owners Say
We'll always associate this home with summer evening walks back from the park, turning onto our road and seeing the hydrangea bush bursting over the front wall to greet us. We've always loved the natural light that moves through the home throughout the year, and it has lit many of our happiest memories here.
The garden is private and is perfect for cocktails with friends, paddling pools with little ones and dance parties with both. We grew up in Hackney and came to South Tottenham looking for a little more space and affordability while still feeling geographically close to places we knew. What we didn't know was how hard we would fall and what it would be like to become part of this wonderful community. We'll be staying local and hope any buyers can enjoy their own love story with the house.
Points To Consider

Monthly costs are approximately £100 for electricity, £46 for gas, and £40 for water. These figures naturally change seasonally during the year.

There is no service charge. When communal works are required, the costs are agreed upon with the co-freeholders and paid on a case-by-case basis.
Ground rent:
None
Neighbours:
In the building, there are 2 houses in total ('Left' & 'Right').
Recent work:
Nothing of note
Getting around:
You're fortunate enough to have a choice of options. Head to nearby Harringay Green Lanes to pick up the Overground, Turnpike Lane for the Piccadilly line, or Seven Sisters for the Victoria line. For those preferring two wheels, the cycle highway route is close by and provides safer and clearly marked routes into town. Plus, there are plenty of bus routes minutes from the front door that run day and night.
Anything else:
The concept of a half-house is not widely known. They are popular in these parts and, we think, a brilliant idea from Victorian yesteryear. You share a front door and hallway with your neighbour (left or right), but once you enter, the layout is very similar to a traditional Victorian terraced home. Aside from the hallway and shared building insurance, you have total autonomy.
Onward plans:
The owners are moving to accommodate a growing family.
