Guide price £200,000-£210,000 ** no chain ** Benefiting from having off-road parking, an integral garage and attractive views is this four bedroom semi detached property which also benefits from uPVC double glazing and gas central heating. The property is in need of some modernisation and ideal for the discerning purchaser to alter, adapt and update to their own taste. Replacement of the garage with a double storey extension, for example, would be one particularly exciting possibility.
Set over three levels, the living accommodation briefly comprises uPVC French doors which open into a porch with space for coats and shoes. A door then opens into the entrance hall with an under stair storage cupboard and access into the lounge and the open plan kitchen/diner. The lounge has a large front window, gas fire and double doors opening into the kitchen. The kitchen has a range of units. A worktop incorporates the sink, drainer and the four ring hob. Integrated appliances include an electric oven along with housing and plumbing for a washing machine. There is a pantry off with space for a fridge and fitted shelving. A side door opens into a lobby with storage space, the gas boiler and access into the integral garage with windows to three sides and up and up and over door.
From the entrance hall, a staircase rises to the first floor landing with access into three bedrooms and the wet room with WC and wash basin. The master bedroom is a good size and benefits from fitted wardrobes. Double bedroom two is to the rear. Single bedroom three is to the front aspect.
Attic double bedroom four is to the second floor with a rear dormer window perfect for enjoying the excellent views.
Outside
Gates open to a driveway providing off-road parking and this in turn leads to the integral garage. Front lawn. Access down the side of the property to the rear garden which is mainly laid to lawn.
Location
Ideally located with excellent public transport links with connections to Sheffield City Centre and Barnsley Interchange. Motorway links. Good local schools. Stocksbridge Leisure Centre. Fantastic amenities in Stocksbridge itself including supermarkets including Co-op, Lidl and Aldi. Fox Valley Shopping Centre. Beautiful country walks in the Peak District and surrounding areas.
Funding of £24.1m has been unlocked to support a host of projects in Stocksbridge. The approval means that the Towns Fund projects – including the proposed £14.6m transformation of Stocksbridge town centre – can now move to the next stage in terms of planning and phasing the projects. The plans for the town include a transformation of Manchester Road with a new Library and Community Hub building at its heart. The development will house managed workspace as well as new community facilities. Investment in new paving and public realm in the town centre is also planned, as well as proposals for a shop front grant scheme to transform and regenerate the town's retail area. Other projects include improvements to sports, education and outdoor infrastructure.
