This is what the vendors had to say about their lovely cottage.
What attracted you to the property ?
When we bought the property, we were drawn to its lively cottage charm in the beautiful village of Hadlow. Hadlow is a great location for Maidstone, Tonbridge, and Tunbridge Wells. It is a friendly, safe village with a lively community feel, perfect for raising our young family. The area also has two excellent schools—both primary and secondary—making it an ideal choice for families. Additionally, the property benefits from great transport links to local areas, making it both convenient and well-connected.If you are a dog lover there is great walking pathways we find the one just as we walk through our back gate being the best into the apple orchards/Fields.
What improvements have you made to the property ?
We’ve made several upgrades to the house, including creating an open-plan lounge and dining area, installing a brand-new kitchen, and adding a new porch. The ceilings have been updated with Artex removal, new installations, and modern spot lighting. We’ve also fitted Amtico flooring throughout the ground floor for a stylish and durable finish, fitted wardrobes for the main bedroom.Externally, we’ve added composite decking to the back garden, fencing, rendered both the front and rear of the property, and carried out significant work on the outbuilding, including air conditioning, heating, and full electrics.
What have you enjoyed about living there ?
We have loved living in Hadlow, appreciating its warm and welcoming community. Both of our children attended the local schools, where they formed lifelong friendships. The village offers stunning countryside walks and charming pubs perfect for a leisurely lunch. Restoring the cottage has been a rewarding journey, turning it into both a cherished project and a comfortable family home.
