Fab Three Bedroom Semi-Detached Home With A Great Layout!
Owners Comments...
This house has been absolutely perfect for us. Not just the house but the location too. Spending 5 years working in London, having Reading train station just over 10 minutes away has been more than ideal and also being so close to the M4 for commutes too. Then on the other hand, walk a matter of moments or drive a few minutes in the other direction, you’re in the countryside surrounded by farmers fields. From the kitchen window you can look out over the Mays farm fields and enjoy the sun in the garden and over the fields.
We started here as a newly married couple and have grown into a family of 4. It really is a fantastic environment for a family. There is a lovely park at the end of the road and so many different routes to walk as well as being in close proximity to great schools and nurseries. We regularly walk to the local leisure centre which has lots of facilities. We have loved every second of our time living here.
Dan & Neil Estate Agents’ comments...
This three-bedroom semi-detached home is a fantastic find. Built just five years ago by Taylor Wimpey to the popular Gosford design, it has a layout that simply makes sense from the moment you step inside. The home features hard flooring throughout, giving it a sleek, modern, and low-maintenance feel. At the front, there’s a handy downstairs WC, followed by a spacious and bright lounge to the side. Head to the rear and you’ll find a fantastic kitchen/diner, complete with under-counter lighting, stylish splashbacks, and fully integrated appliances. It’s the perfect space for cooking, dining, and entertaining and it opens out onto the garden, which, being south-east facing, enjoys plenty of sunshine throughout the day!
Upstairs, you’ll find three decent sized bedrooms. Two are at the back, a single and a good-sized double, while the main bedroom is at the front and benefits from its own en suite.
This is a well-designed home that really ticks all the boxes — come and take a look!
Area Comments...
Buttermilk Grove is nicely tucked away within Three Mile Cross and is surrounded with green space making it the ideal spot to enjoy a leisurely stroll! Three Mile Cross takes its name from its location—just three miles south of Reading, along the historic Basingstoke Road. This charming village, divided by the A33 (the main Basingstoke–Reading route), is officially recognised as an area of special character. Ideally located near Junction 11 of the M4, it’s a prime spot for commuters and anyone looking for convenient connections to nearby towns and cities.
The village itself offers a selection of useful local amenities, including a Budgens convenience store and the popular Swan Pub, both within easy walking distance. Just a short drive away, Shinfield and Lower Earley provide even more everyday essentials, shops, and pubs. For larger shopping trips, you’re perfectly placed between the vibrant market town of Wokingham and the extensive retail and dining options at Reading’s Oracle Shopping Centre.
Public transport links are excellent too, with Mereoak Park & Ride close by and the newly opened Green Park train station offering direct routes into London—making daily commuting a breeze.
