Vendors Comments:
We have called this flat home since it was built in 2016, and it’s been a place we have truly loved — which is why saying goodbye will be bittersweet.
Nestled in a quiet, leafy corner at the heart of Croydon, it’s been our peaceful retreat for years.
What we have appreciated most is how bright, airy, and spacious it feels compared to other flats we have seen. The dual-aspect layout and windows in every room mean there’s always natural light flowing through the space, and the generous proportions create a sense of calm and comfort — it simply feels good to be here.
The built-in storage has also been a huge bonus — practical and plentiful, it’s made everyday living so much easier.
Being in a small, quiet block on the second floor (just below the penthouse), the flat feels private and peaceful, with lovely views stretching towards the green hills of Croham Hurst Woods, the charming St. Andrew’s Church, and even Croydon’s cluster of modern high-rises. It’s especially magical on New Year’s Eve, when fireworks light up the skyline in every direction.
We have loved the southeast-facing Juliet balcony, especially in spring and summer — perfect for relaxed brunches with the French windows open and sunshine streaming in. The shared garden has also been a real asset, offering space to enjoy hobbies or simply unwind outdoors.
The bathroom is another favourite — finished with natural stone tiling that gives it a boutique hotel feel. It’s ideal for a long candlelit soak in the evening, while the rain shower and natural light make mornings feel fresh and energising.
From a practical perspective, the location is incredibly convenient. We’re within a 15-minute walk of East, West, and South Croydon, as well as Waddon station — plus there are trams, buses, and direct connections to central London, Gatwick, Luton, the Eurostar, and the south coast. Weekends are a breeze with restaurants on South End, shopping in North End, and Duppas Hill Park just five minutes away for a morning run or peaceful walk.
This flat has been a truly special first home — full of light, calm, and surprisingly spacious for a one-bedroom. As we move on to our next chapter, we hope the next owner enjoys living here just as much as we have.
