In The Owners Own Words:
We have loved every minute of our 7 years in our home. When we bought it, we had been looking for quite awhile but something about this place marked it out as special for us. Our kids have grown up over this time and our memories of them are closely entwined with the house. We love the layout of the downstairs area – the heart of our family life is the kitchen and the arrangement with the new doorway we put in – means that the kitchen connects to all the other spaces. We had plenty of space in a room at the front of the house which our children use for studying and has also become a bit of art studio for them as they both really into art! At the back of the house we have a sun-room which is perfect for capturing all the light and can lift moods at any time. Our main living room has a built in book shelf which we love having as a mini-library.
The location is also great. The neighbours and neighbourhood is friendly and welcoming. Even just going up the street and along the Moors is a pleasant walk on a summer evening. Its low-traffic so the area is quiet. We travel a fair bit locally and nationally so the nearby M40 means we can easily access the Midlands or London by car. There is the Oxford Parkway, which we use frequently to get to London by train. We also commute into Oxford for school and work – and its an easy drive. Usual rush-hour traffic of any major city but a typical school run in the morning leaving at 07.30 takes 30 minutes. Our kids do lots of sports and getting to Abingdon, Witney, Bicester etc is super-easy as the road network is great.”
