About this property
Private garden
Cute as a button one bedroom bay-fronted Freehold house, with a delightful conservatory room onto the sunny south-facing garden.
Find the property on a quiet residential side street. Parking is unrestricted, on-street.
Walk just a few minutes to gorgeous Hilly Fieids, eight minutes to Brockley’s Zone 2 station with mainline (two stops to London Bridge) and Windrush line services, and just nine minutes to Crofton Park Station (for Thameslink services).
You have a sweet gated front garden. In your stable-style front door (nice touch!) and you are greeted by a long through-room of over 22 feet (by nearly 9 feet). The kitchen area is set to the front of the house. Modern fitted gloss units paired with smart counters impress.
A natural dining area is next, then your sitting area is set in the contemporary glass conservatory room, with exposed-brick detail. This opens onto your very private walled garden. This is shingled and low-maintenance; just perfect for pots and the BBQ.
Upstairs and to the front of the house you have your generous double bedroom with twin sash windows and more fresh pale walls.
The property’s windowed bathroom is set to the rear of the house, with contemporary sanitary ware, an over-bath shower, and plumbing plus dedicated custom-made housing for your washing machine.
Green space? Hilly Fields with its great views and sweet cafe is close, or visit Telegraph Hill’s parks. Both host lovely Farmers’ Markets. Brockley Market is also really good and on Saturdays 10am-2pm (in Lewisham College car park - walk here through Brockley Conservation Area). Horniman Gardens, One Tree Hill and even Greenwich Park are all also close.
A residential, leafy location, but close to the action too! Commute from Crofton Park (Blackfriars, Farringdon etc.) or Brockley Station (Windrush line and mainline services). There are also plenty of day and night bus routes on hand including the 172 to St Paul’s, and Lewisham is a short bus ride for DLR services at Lewisham Station to Bank and City Airport - as well as high street shops and daily markets.
There is a strong - and growing - selection of handy shops and places to go in the immediate vicinity, including a Co-Op on Brockley Road, The London Beer Dispensary, The Rivoli Ballroom (a five minute walk - themed and movie nights, live music etc. In an amazing setting), The Brockley Jack Studio Theatre and Crofton Park Tavern. And Babur, for fine Indian dining, is also a lovely independent offering with a takeaway arm too.
By Brockley Station we like Browns of Brockley for coffee, and Parlez for casual eats on the pedestrianised outdoor area. Other neighbourhood restaurants we rate highly are Ellary’s and Mauby.
