About this property
"Our parents enjoyed many happy memories during their time in Chattenden House. The secure development made it comfortable for them and us knowing they were safe and close to us should they need anything. Even though this was a downsize for them, their home still provided enough space for their many grandchildren to visit at one time. Our favourite memories were getting to sit outside in their garden whilst they sat inside with the doors open during lockdown making what was scary time for them easier to get through."
Chattenden House is situated within a gated community off a cul-de-sac in Stoke Bishop. The area has several green spaces and tree-lined streets and avenues. This is a quiet neighbourhood of larger substantial houses, but is actually very close to Clifton and the city centre. There are a range of larger family homes in this area which are spacious and versatile, making fantastic long term options in this highly desirable part of North Bristol. Local schools also further enhance the appeal of this area. Stoke Bishop, Elmlea and St Ursula’s Primary Schools are all nearby whilst the Bristol Free School also serves the area for secondary. Within the nearby old village centre of Westbury-on-Trym there are several cafes and restaurants, including Grupo Lounge and the Post Office Tavern, whilst a short walk away are also the shops, café’s, a bakery, a dentist and pubs on Stoke Lane and Shirehampton Road. A real benefit of this area is the abundance of outside space with the path along the River Avon and River Trym into Blaise Castle Estate. Canford Park and Stoke Lodge are also nearby with The Downs just around the corner from the street itself.
An exceptionally spacious (1345sq ft) 2 bedroom ground floor apartment with garden access and allocated off street parking. The property is situated within a secure gated development and can be accessed via the communal entrance to the building. On entry, you are welcomed by the hallway laid with wood flooring. Turning left, you are welcomed into the light and airy living space with a bay window and patio doors leading to the outdoor space. Just off the living room is the contemporary fitted kitchen including integrated appliances. The south facing garden has been laid to patio for low maintenance and has steps leading up to the communal gardens of the development. Moving back into the hallway you can find various storage cupboards and access to the main family bathroom including a three-piece suite. Lastly, at the end of the property is the second double bedroom and the master bedroom with built-in wardrobes and an en-suite. The master bedroom faces the front of the development and enjoys large windows to fill the room with natural light.
