The owners love…
When we first viewed this family home we were blown away by the quiet peaceful countryside setting and the space the property offered – we knew this would make the ideal family home and it hasn’t disappointed all these years on and some home improvements later we love the end result.
Upon entering you are greeted with a welcoming hallway leading into our kitchen/diner. The original layout didn’t maximise the space so this has been re-configured benefiting from a re-fitted kitchen in contemporary style with views over the private enclosed rear garden. It is perfect for family life and offers a great space for entertaining. The kitchen has lots of storage space with integrated dishwasher, fabulous free standing double range cooker and a sizeable American style fridge/freezer with water connection – it is a must see we love the end result. We have made many fond memories here and there is nothing we enjoy more than a lazy Sunday morning with our freshly brewed coffee listening to birds song in the distance.
Our lounge also to the rear of the house overlooks the garden and is the perfect place to relax and unwind. We have added a log burner which we adore on those cosy winter nights. We have a log store in the garden housing our supplies. This is something we all love has a family toasting our marshmallows!
We have a downstairs WC and have installed a new boiler around a year ago.
We further have a downstairs office space which is ideal tucked away on the ground floor
Our garage has been 2/3rds converted into a home office but we have retained some space for storage so it offers a multitude of uses – it could offer additional living space as a bedroom, cinema room or playroom being fully insulated with power and wi-fi.
Our private enclosed rear garden isn’t overlooked and offers a space of tranquility and different areas. We have a patio area, laid to lawn which has been landscaped and levelled. We have a retaining wall for our plants, and vegetable patch which gives a nice aesthetic and adds a flair of colour. In addition we have our children’s play area.
Leading upstairs we have 4 spacious bedrooms. Our master bedroom has an en-suite which has been enlarged by moving the water tank to the loft offering a very sizeable bathroom which includes a double shower.
We also have a spacious family bathroom again with a high end finish in a modern style.
The loft space offers generous proportions for additional storage.
We have a driveway for two cars as well as ample off road parking.
Our home nestles in a quiet cul-de-sac in the quaint Whitwell village. We have a great sense of community here with the neighbours all looking out for one another and just a really friendly place to live. The children all socialize and play on the green and it is safe not being on a main road. We have all the village amenities to include the tea shop, post office, convenience store and the pub. There are lots of activities arranged throughout the year for everyone to get involved in as well as the amazing countryside walks and bike trails. We are in the catchment area to good local schools.
The time has come for pastures new and to let a new family enjoy all this house and village has to offer.
