If you lived here...

Step beyond that timeless frontage and into a home where thoughtful design meets period charm. At the front, the bright and airy double reception room features immaculate decor, a calming palette, and clever additions such as a space-saving vertical column radiator. The flow continues into the stylish kitchen, where sleek units, a butler sink, and high-spec appliances combine practicality with polished style.

From here, throw open the doors to your private rear garden — a glorious retreat bursting with mature foliage, two patio areas, a lawn, and even a charming vegetable patch. Back inside, the convenient utility room sits alongside the kitchen, designed to maximise light and flow into the main living space.

Upstairs, you’ll find two immaculate bedrooms, each finished to a high standard, alongside a stunning bathroom featuring wood panelling, a clawfoot tub, and a separate shower. The loft provides yet another beautifully designed and versatile space.

Location-wise, you’re perfectly placed to enjoy the best of Forest Gate. Just a short stroll away, Wanstead Flats — once Henry viii’s hunting ground — offers vast green space for dog walks, runs, or relaxed picnics. On the way, grab a coffee and cinnamon bun from The Ramble Cafe E7 or venture slightly further to the railway arches of Winchelsea Road, now a thriving foodie hub home to Pretty Decent Beer, The Wanstead Kitchen, and Wild Goose Bakery.

A word from the owner.....

"We made this our family home, welcoming our baby girl here and becoming a family of four. Forest Gate had such a great sense of community — I even ended up on the Forest Gate Festival committee not long after we moved in. The area just kept getting better, with new Pilates studios, great little cafés, and independent restaurants popping up. We spent loads of time in the garden — growing veggies, playing with the kids, and having friends over for long lunches and barbecues. In summer, we were either out there or on Wanstead Flats/Park. We originally bought the house because of the easy access to the Elizabeth Line, and Kaye Rowe nursery just around the corner was a real bonus. Even after moving to Australia to be closer to family, we held onto the house because we loved it so much. But we’ve now decided to settle here long-term, so it’s time to let it go — hopefully to someone who’ll enjoy it just as much as we did."
