We asked the owner about his parents tenure at the property and he was happy to provide us with the following insight.
1. What attracted your parents to the property when you bought it ?
Looking to downsize, preferably a bungalow with a small garden and garage as they were in their 70’s when they moved to Belvedere Road in 1999. Close to me and my wife – we were living at 7 Belvedere Road (next door but one) until 2022. They also wanted a quiet area which this is. They also took advantage of easy access to the amenities in the village and easy transport access to Bromley and London - 55 mins from front door to Victoria Station.
2. What improvements had they made to the bungalows ?
The house was a care in the community residence for disabled people when they bought so was very institutional. They converted it to their home by fully renovating the property, removing stud partitioning walls, adding a sun lounge and fully landscaping the garden. The roof to the bungalow was fully renewed a couple of years ago and the boiler in the loft renewed about 5 years ago. The sun lounge roof was also renewed about 2 years ago.
3. What have you enjoyed about living there ?
Mum and Dad liked the quiet location, immediate access to a wide variety of country walks, being close to the centre of Biggin Hill and free (oap) access to Bromley, Orpington and London.
