❤️ What the owner loves:
After many wonderful years in our home on Mayfield Avenue, it’s time for us to move on – but not without sharing what makes this place so special.
From the moment we stepped through the door, we knew this house was perfect for us. The light, warmth, and spacious rooms instantly made it feel like home. When we first walked into the kitchen/diner—a perfect entertaining space—we were completely sold!
We had the garden landscaped a few years ago with a new lawn and flower beds, and it’s been our peaceful retreat – ideal for summer barbecues and lazy Sunday afternoons.
Mayfield Avenue is a quiet, tree-lined street with lovely neighbours. Northfields has everything you need – excellent schools, a great variety of independent shops and cafés on Northfield Avenue, and even a farmers’ market just a short walk away on Saturday mornings. Walking the dog is a joy, with beautiful parks like Lammas, Elthorne and Blondin all within easy reach.
The transport links are absolutely brilliant – the Piccadilly Line is just a 10-minute walk away, while the Elizabeth Line at West Ealing Station, along with the District and Central lines from Ealing Broadway, make getting around London and beyond incredibly easy.
This house and neighbourhood have been a wonderful place to live for the past 14 years, and we will truly miss it all.
✨ Why we'd buy this home:
Some houses just feel right, and this is one of them. It’s several feet wider than the other common style of house on the street, which makes all the difference in day-to-day life – more space to breathe, stretch, and stash scooters without tripping over them.
It’s already been extended at the rear and into the loft, so you can leverage lending and lock in your mortgage rather than having to find the cash and bracing for a year of scaffolding quotes and spiralling material costs. The layout flows beautifully, the finish is spot on, and it’s all been meticulously looked after.
You’re within walking distance of some Northfields icons – from a morning espresso at Element Coffee to an evening pizza at Da Moreno or a Sunday roast at The Forrester. Plus, Fielding Primary (one of the most popular primary schools) is just around the corner – 0.2 miles away or 500 feet as the crow flies.
Add in a pretty, low-maintenance garden, lovely neighbours, and unbeatable transport links via the Piccadilly Line or Elizabeth Line, and it’s not hard to see why we’d happily snap this one up.
🏡 Summary:
This chain-free, attractive and wider-than-average Edwardian home offers well-balanced family accommodation over three floors, located on the ever-popular Mayfield Avenue in Northfields.
The property has been thoughtfully extended to the rear and into the loft, creating generous living space while retaining original charm. On the ground floor, a welcoming front reception room is complemented by a spacious open-plan kitchen and dining area with direct access to a landscaped rear garden.
Upstairs, you’ll find four bedrooms across two upper floors, including a well-proportioned principal suite in the loft with ensuite, alongside a stylish family bathroom and additional WC.
The house is in excellent condition throughout and ideally positioned for the amenities of Northfield Avenue, local parks, and highly regarded schools including Fielding Primary.
Transport links are exceptional, with Northfields (Piccadilly Line) around a 10-minute walk, and West Ealing Station (Elizabeth Line) offering quick connections into central London and Heathrow.
