Agent's comments...
Nestled in approximately half an acre of beautifully kept grounds, this light-filled and spacious four-bedroom detached bungalow offers a rare chance to enjoy views over the breathtaking Oxfordshire countryside.
Inside, the home flows effortlessly. The heart of the house is a generous open-plan kitchen and breakfast room, with a separate utility to keep life running smoothly. The lounge is bright and inviting, while the dining room and conservatory offer ideal spaces for entertaining or simply soaking up the sunshine and those rolling rural views.
On the ground floor, you’ll also find a welcoming entrance porch, a well-appointed family shower room, a versatile family room/bedroom, and another comfortable bedroom. Upstairs, the master suite is a true sanctuary — spacious, peaceful, and complete with a large en-suite and plenty of eaves storage. There’s another cosy bedroom up here too, along with even more handy storage tucked into the eaves.
The large garage provides practical space for vehicles or hobbies, and the grounds offer endless potential.
Seller's comments...
We have lived in Merton for 18 years. It’s a lovely village, we have open countryside surrounding us and a view to die for. This home has been in the family for generations, and the only reason we are going is to downsize. I hope whoever comes here will be as happy as we’ve been
The local area...
Merton is a conveniently located village lying to the north east of Oxford, and to the south of the bustling market town of Bicester and Bicester village. Both the A34 and M40 are within easy reach, and commuters can reach London in under an hour from Islip, Bicester North or Bicester town railway stations. Merton is close to Otmoor - an area of outstanding natural beauty and the property is an excellent base to explore this area. The village itself has many interesting character properties and a church. The village is served by the very popular Charlton on Otmoor primary school, while local amenities including a shop and post office can be found in nearby Ambrosden.
