Rear Garden
The property benefits from a good size rear garden, mostly laid to lawn but with a patio leading from the kitchen.
Gated side access leads to the front.
To the side of the property is a driveway and area to the front of the house that could offer more parking if needed. There is plenty of space for a garage or car port subject to the relevant permissions.
The property is situated just over half a mile from the centre of Melksham and its many facilities including King George V park with its revamped children's playground, splashpad, dog run and cafe which hosts music events in the summer. The town has a new leisure centre with swimming pool, fitness centre and library. There are a range of shops, cafes, restaurants and supermarkets. Forest Community Centre is around the corner which also has a cafe and a small play park which has just been refurbished. There is a further play park on Methuen Avenue. Also in the local area is a vets, ballet school, dog grooming, vehicle repair shop, convienience store and pub. There are a good range of dog walking routes on the doorstep over local fields and you can walk to Lacock along the river if you so wish (or paddle board!).
There are a range of primary schools in the area including Rivermead which is around a 10 minute walk from the house, The Manor which is under 15 minutes away and Forest and Sandridge which is just over 20 minutes . Melksham Oak Secondary school is 2 miles away, however I believe a bus goes from just round the corner.
Sports facilities in the area include football, rugby and cricket clubs along with water activities being offered on the river. Melksham also has great provision for other clubs including dance, gymnastics and martial arts. Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Rainbows, Brownies and Guides also have groups in the town.
The towns of Calne, Corsham, Trowbridge and Chippenham are a short distance away, with Chippenham having mainline rail services into London in around an hour. Melksham also has its own train station, sitting on the Swindon to Westbury line which passes through Trowbridge and Chippenham.
