East Beach Walk

At the southernmost tip of West Sussex, in the seaside town of Selsey, East Beach Walk is a new development of 1,2,3 and 4 bedroom apartments and semi-detached family houses available to buy through Shared Ownership.

The homes at East Beach Walk have been designed to a high standard to cater for individuals, couples and families. East Beach Walk is part of a wider development in the north west of Selsey, a short distance from the town centre and just five minutes walk from the Sea.

Selsey is situated at the southern coastal edge of West Sussex, on the Manhood peninsula. The position of this quintessential seaside town is such that it often feels more like an island than a part of the mainland. Even the town’s name reflects this, derived as it is from the Saxon ‘Seals ey’ or ‘Seal Island’. Long established as a traditional British seaside destination, Selsey is home to three glorious beaches. East Beach, known locally as the fisherman’s beach, has a shingle shoreline that is home to the famous Selsey lifeboat station and museum. This is also the place to come for the local delicacies of Selsey crab and lobster. Selsey Bill, or The Bill as locals call it, is a beach at the point of the peninsular popular with holidaymakers, and the perfect spot for paddling. At high tide West Beach is an ideal location for swimming and sea fishing. And at low tide the sweeping expanse of sand makes it a popular spot for dog walkers. Inland, Selsey offers an array of shops including a quality butcher, baker, greengrocer and of course fresh fish, including dressed crabs and lobsters that can be bought directly from the huts on Kingsway at East Beach. The town is also home to a number of pubs and restaurants. Highlights include The Seal Hotel, The Lifeboat, De Levante Tapas bar or further afield; The Walnut Tree at Runcton and The Crab and Lobster at Sidlesham. Selsey also boasts a cinema club with regular screenings in the Town Hall, a nine hole golf course at Selsey Country Club, fishing boat charter and the Oasis at Bunn Leisure; home to facilities including bars, restaurants and two swimming pools, one with slides, a ‘lazy river’ and sauna and steam room.
