This historic market town has a whole host of amenities, and when you do feel like venturing further afield, you’ll find excellent road and rail links to nearby Birmingham and beyond. Add in one of Britain’s favourite theme parks right on your doorstep and you have the perfect place to set up home and raise your family.


Tamworth has lots to offer for your leisure time, from the historic castle, with its delightful pleasure grounds, to the year-round skiing of the Snowdome. The town also boasts a 10 screen Odeon cinema and Strykers bowling alley, along with leisure island leisure centre, which has two pools and a host of other sports facilities. Golfers will enjoy a world class round at the famous Belfry, just a few minutes drive away, with Tamworth Municipal and Drayton Park golf courses also providing a more affordable challenge. Best of all, the white-knuckle thrill rides of Drayton manor theme park are just across town, making that once in a lifetime day out that people travel miles for, something you can enjoy on your doorstep every week.


Tamworth has an excellent selection of good quality schools, with some of the best within just a few minutes of Pennine Grange. Three Peaks Primary and Stonydelph Primary are both within walking distance, while the short journey to Wilnecote High School or Tamworth Enterprise College won’t add too much onto the day for older children. In total, Tamworth has 27 primary schools and a choice of five secondary schools plus a sixth form college. Tamworth is also within reach of a number of top midlands universities, ideal for stay at home students or bringing the washing home at weekends.


Tamworth has an ancient market dating back to 1560, which is still held every Tuesday and Saturday in the town. Tamworth is also home to the 60-store Ankerside Shopping centre and three retail parks – Ventura, The Jolly Sailor and Cardinal Point. For an interesting and unusual shopping trip, take a stroll around the old town with its fascinating selection of quirky independent shops. Alternatively, for the full on city shopping experience, jump a train to Birmingham and explore the famous Bull Ring.


Pennine Grange lies just a couple of minutes from junction 10 of the M42, with the M6 and M6toll both close by. The A5 also passes through Tamworth, close to the development. Tamworth town centre is just 3 miles, with Birmingham 18miles, Coventry 23 miles and Leicester 28miles. Trains from nearby Wilnecote station will speed you into the heart of Birmingham for work or shopping in under 20 minutes, while Birmingham International Airport is just 15 miles away along the M42.
