Welsh wonder as properties in Swansea and Carmarthenshire dominate the list
Prices range from £175,000 for a one bed flat in Purfleet, Essex, to a whopping £2,750,000 for a riverside mansion in Cornwall
Most viewed home in the country is located near the beautiful coastal town of Llanelli and has a hot tub, fire pit and uninterrupted 180 degree views across the coastline
Amid a record first half of 2021 for the property market, Zoopla, has revealed its most viewed properties over the past month. Wales, famed for its beautiful countryside and vibrant cities, is proving particularly popular with home hunters, with properties in Swansea and Carmarthenshire dominating the list.
A five bedroom family home in Llanelli on sale for £550,000 takes the crown as the UK’s most viewed property. With an extensive outdoor area, the property is perfect for al fresco entertaining with a fire pit, outside seating, hot tub area and a bar. The star of the show is undoubtedly the breathtaking, uninterrupted, 180-degree views across the coastline, with the property also benefiting from full width balconies on two floors.
For those looking for a smaller property, a one bed flat in Purfleet, Essex, for sale for £175,000 ranks in third place nationally. Ideally suited to first time buyers, the property has a modern interior and is located within walking distance of Purfleet train station which enjoys easy access for commuters to London.
Also located a commuting distance to London is this three bed terraced house on sale for £300,000 in Tadworth, Surrey. The property has a fantastic semi-rural location with easy access to Epsom, Banstead and Sutton and sought-after features including a southerly facing rear garden and allocated parking.
Prime properties are also capturing the attention of the nation with a luxurious six bedroom mansion in West Yorkshire featuring in the top ten. On sale for £2,375,000, Alton Hall has plenty of luxurious features including a 15 metre outdoor heated pool, six en-suite double bedrooms, cinema and fully-equipped gym.
Featuring in tenth place is a stunning, architecturally designed five bed detached house in Newquay, Cornwall on sale for £2,750,000. With breathtaking views over the River Gannel tidal estuary, the riverside home also boasts a summer house, plunge pool and a modern, open plan living space.
Tom Parker, Consumer Spokesperson at Zoopla comments: “Properties in Wales have clearly captured the attention of home hunters across the UK with properties in Swansea and Carmarthenshire dominating the top ten. With the memory of lockdown still fresh for many people, demand for coastal properties is increasing and with both areas located by the coast and offering reasonably priced properties, this might help explain why they are proving particularly popular.”
