- A stone-built Manor House adjoining a half-timbered building, steeped in as much history as the town it graces.

- The next-door wooden structure is believed to have its roots in a weatherboarded Coaching Inn initially built in the 16th century.

- Much effort has been made to restore and highlight the original features, such as the timbers belonging to the same era.

- The stone building features a majestic red-carpeted staircase, one of a kind in the country, leading to the upper floor.

- The double-height ceiling and the galleried landing, together with stone walls in part and timber beams, add to the exclusivity of the architecture.
