Streatham was Jacksons third office to open following the success of both Balham and Earlsfield. We occupy a prominent corner site on the junction of Streatham High Road and Mount Ephraim Road. In the 1950’s Streatham had the longest and busiest shopping street in South London. Although the area fell into decline over the following decades, today it is thriving with many buyers attracted to a mixture of buildings from all architectural eras of the past 200 years. This has resulted in the High Road undergoing a period of re generation and now offers a wide selection of shops, bars and restaurants. Transport facilities in Streatham are excellent with three mainline railway stations – Streatham, Streatham Hill and Streatham Common. There are numerous bus routes running along the High Road with multiple destinations to choose from. The open spaces of Streatham Common also play host to The Rookery, a formally landscaped area which was once known as Streatham Spa feted for its medicinal and healing water. These days the gently sloping lawns are used as an open air theatre in the summer.
