There will be less estate agents in the next 3-5 years, in some peoples opinion that would not be a bad thing. If the general public wish to pay a cheaper fee to sell then that is their perogative and we have adapted accordingly. The way of selling a home in England is now open to a vendor with various fee structures, online up front companies, part online/hybrid, all challenging and threatening the traditional model of selling your home through an estate agent. Several household large named estate agency companies are fighting back with alternative methods. That is business, and to survive one has to adapt. 2019 will certainly be interesting for the housing market, and no doubt the experts will make their new year predictions once again.
