Roger Bright was very instrumental in saving what is now Deal Conservation area from redevelopment in the 1960s. In the 1980s Roger sold the business to Mrs Pam Long who in due course sold it to Brian Thorpe who in recent years developed and expanded it to become one of the most respected agencies in the Deal area. In April 2012, the business was taken over by Nigel Colebrook who has over 40 years experience in estate agency and a very full and expansive knowledge of East Kent, its properties and the people who live and work here. Nigel established the agency of Colebrook Sturrock & Co in 1991 which rapidly became one of the most individual and successful agencies in Kent, dealing with many important sales of individual, period and country properties with 6 offices and a staff of over 30. Nigel sold his interest in the business in 2003. The policy of the business is to provide a personal and professional service specialising in the sale of period homes, individual and country properties together with marine residences and cottages throughout the East Kent Area. Whilst building on the firm’s traditions and reputation, an eye is kept on the future as Agency moves forward into the internet age of computers, mobile phones and digital marketing.
