The town of Aspatria, Cumbria, is located on the north side of the Ellen Valley. It enjoys panoramic country views with Skiddaw to the south and Solway Firth to the north. Aspatria is situated eight miles from Maryport and Wigton, and 20 miles from the historic city of Carlisle. The town is best known for its church of St. Kentigern which contains a number of ancient relics. It is also within easy reach of the Lake District National Park.
