Location
Bennet Head Farm forms the centre of the small hamlet of Bennet Head lying within the Parish of Watermillock which is located within the heart of the Ullswater Valley in the north east corner of the Lake District National Park. The market town of Penrith is situated approximately 6½ miles to the north west. Despite being set within Lakeland countryside, the property offers good access to the M6 motorway with Junction 40 being located at Penrith together with a railway station on the West Coast mainline.

Bennet Head enjoys a stunning position close to Ullswater whilst being slightly off the beaten track. The property offers views to the fells on the eastern side of Ullswater and of the lake itself. Within minutes of leaving the property you are within the high mountain ranges at the southern end of the lake.

Additional Property Information
Bennet Head Farm is a traditional Lakeland farm which has previously been a dairy farm and has been farmed by the same family since 1960. Set in an elevated position above Ullswater in the shadow of Little Mell Fell, the farmhouse, which retains original features, is south easterly facing offering views across the valley to High Street and the valleys of Martindale.

Local Amenities
Just ¾ mile from the farm is the popular Brackenrigg Inn which serves food all day throughout the year, together with brewing its own beer. The nearby village of Pooley Bridge offers a Post Office and village shop, several gift shops, 3 public houses and a restaurant.

At the southern end of the lake, the two Lakeland villages of Glenridding and Patterdale again offer a variety of small shops, public houses, hotels and restaurants.

The market town of Penrith provides an extensive range of amenities including supermarkets, an array of shops, public houses and hotels, a leisure centre, primary and secondary schools. In addition, there is access to the M6 motorway, West Coast mainline railway and the A66 Trans Pennine route.

Bennet Head is located within the heart of fell walking country giving the opportunity for some spectacular walking together with the benefits of living close to Ullswater with the Ullswater Yacht Club being only a ¼ hr drive away on the opposite side of the lake to the farm. The tourist hubs of Windermere and Ambleside are just a 30 minute drive away to the south.
