It comes together with two adjoining one bedroom holiday cottages and approximately 6 acres of grazing land, making it perfect as a primary residence with potential for equestrian usage, a lifestyle business, second home or even to add to a portfolio of other properties. The property is set in mature grounds of around an acre and enjoys picturesque views of the surrounding fells including Little Mell Fell, Gowbarrow Fell and across to the North Pennines.

The main house includes a reception hall with vestibule and side porch, living room, sitting room, dining room, sun room, kitchen, utility room & ground floor WC. To the first floor there are four double bedrooms, each with an en-suite shower room. To the second floor is a further bedroom with en-suite plus attic store room.

Bank House Farm sits within mature gardens approaching one acre and enjoys elevated views over the surrounding fells including Little Mell Fell, Gowbarrow Fell and towards the North Pennines along with adjacent grazing land approaching 6 acres.
The formal gardens to the front are enclosed by mature hedging and are laid to lawn, benefitting from views of the surrounding fells. The gardens to side and rear are also mainly lawned with mature planting, various trees and offering views to the fells and the Pennines. To the side of the sun room is a pleasant patio area and additional seating areas may be accessed through arches in the hedgerow border providing a perfect spot to enjoy evening drinks as the sun sets over the fells.
There is a useful parking area to the side of the main house which borders the lane and allows access to side porch however additional space is to be found via a separate private drive further up the lane which leads down to a parking area for the two holiday cottages, a gate into the fields behind and then a gated entrance leads to a stone built double garage with parking provision for a further 3-4 cars.
The two holiday cottages enjoy their own outside space for seating, among various trees and this includes a timber summerhouse with veranda.

The pretty fellside hamlet of Matterdale End is situated mid way between Troutbeck on the A66 and the tranquil shores of Ullswater. Sitting at nearly 1000' above sea level it boasts exquisite elevated views of the surrounding hills including Little Mell Fell and Gowbarrow Fell and is on both the C2C cycle ride and the Cumbrian Way long distance footpath. The village boasts a quaint, historic church and the comfort of 'The Royal' Inn at Dockwray is only 1.5 miles away.
