Access to the M4 (junction 13) via the A34 and rail links are found at Newbury with London Paddington accessible in under one hour. Newbury offers excellent shopping, its own theatre, an excellent choice of restaurants and bistros, several highly regarded schools and the Kennet and Avon canal runs through the heart of the town. For recreation, the area has a number of private and municipal golf courses, fishing on the River Kennet, sailing at Theale, good walking and riding on common land, several gyms and spa's and of course horse racing at Newbury Racecourse.

The property is on a private road approached via a five bar gate which leads to a generous gravelled parking area, large gardens and a detached double garage. The house is tucked around to the right, not visible from the approach, with a garden flanked by high hedging which affords a good degree of privacy. There is a large terrace to the rear, ideal for entertaining, with both the dining room and office having doors opening onto the terrace.
