Situation
Benham Chase lies just outside the village of Stockcross which enjoys an excellent position just to the west of Newbury and east of Hungerford. There is a shop and post office, a highly regarded primary school and a bust stop with buses to Park House and St Bartholomew's Schools. Access to the M4 (junction 13) via the A34 and rail links are found at Newbury with London Paddington accessible in under one hour. Newbury offers excellent shopping, its own theatre, an excellent choice of restaurants and bistros, several highly regarded schools and the Kennet and Avon canal runs through the heart of the town. For recreation, the area has a number of private and municipal golf courses, fishing on the River Kennet, sailing at Theale, good walking and riding on common land, several gyms and spa's and of course horse racing at Newbury Racecourse.

Outside
The property is on a private road approached via a five bar gate, which leads to a generous gravelled parking area, large gardens and a detached double garage. The house is tucked around to the right, not visible from the approach, with a garden flanked by high hedging which affords a good degree of privacy. The garden to the front is largely lawned with some shrubbery including some delightful shaped box shrubs, and extends around both sides of the house leading to the rear garden. There is a large terrace to the rear, ideal for entertaining, with both the dining room and office having doors opening onto the terrace. Again, there is a good area of lawn with hedging and various trees and shrubs. All in all, lovely private grounds both to the front and to the rear of the property.
