Nant Gwynant is a hamlet in the valley of the same name in the Snowdonia National Park, North Wales. The valley is defined by the slopes of Y Lliwedd and Yr Aran to the north and west and Carnedd y Cribau, Cerrig Cochion, Moel Meirch and Mynydd Llyndy to the south and east. The hamlet nestles between lakes Llyn Dinas and Llyn Gwynant, and is the starting point for the Watkin path up Snowdon.

The A498 road runs through the valley between Beddgelert and Capel Curig, and forms part of the Snowdon Sherpa bus routes around the area.

Beddgelert, approxinately 3 miles south of Nant Gwynant, is a lovely little village in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park that sits at the confluence of the Afon Colwyn and the Afon Glaslyn. Popular with tourists, Beddgelert offers a range of local amenities including village stores, post office, a primary school and several pubs and restaurants. Beddgelert is also served by the Welsh Highland Railway between Caernarfon and Porthmadoc.
