Washington is located geographically at an equal distance from the centres of Newcastle, Durham and Sunderland, and was designated a new town in 1964. Since then, it has expanded dramatically thanks to the creation of new villages and the absorption of areas of nearby Chester-Le-Street.

Under present ownership, the business has established a superb reputation for providing excellent animal care with clean, modern facilities boasting an extensive and loyal customer base whilst enjoying frequent referrals and recommendations.
