Description

A wonderfully generous, lovingly developed, four bedroom 1920's family terrace. Grand, elegant and spacious you have a more than 1800 square feet of living space laid out over three floors, including a truly capacious through lounge, plus an expertly landscaped, seventy foot long rear garden.

It's all enviably located in the sought-after Warren Estate and being over the road From Wanstead Park giving the property the largest area of green space virtually on your doorstop which is perfect for kids and dog walks. Also you are just a short stroll from Wanstead High Street, the bustling heart of this ever popular East London village.

If you lived here

You'll have friends and family alike marveling at your dual aspect, thirty three feet long lounge/diner. Coming in at a shade under 500 square feet, with clear sightlines from front to back, it's a truly wonderful heart for your home and perfect for hosting even the most demanding of gatherings. There're plenty of great vintage touches as well; an attractive slate hearth, picture rails, original cornicing, the stained window glass and the built in wardrobes in the second bedroom.

Between the large bay window at the front and the patio doors to the rear there's no shortage of natural light. Throw those rear doors open and you step into your pristine conservatory, 140 square feet of fully glazed suntrap and a great space for dining on spring and summer evenings.

The views over the garden are, of course, marvelous – your outside space is an impressively generous mix of patio, zero-maintenance gravel and landscaped brickwork. It's all surrounded by plenty of mature foliage and screening greenery and makes for a wonderfully secluded spot for dining al fresco.

Back inside and the ground floor's completed by the smartly finished kitchen and separate WC. Upstairs your master bedroom comes in at over 200 square feet, with that gorgeous '30s bay window and lovingly restored original timber floorboards underfoot. Bedrooms two and three are both solid doubles of 120 and 150 square feet respectively. The family bathroom is also unusually spacious, with a tub and separate, standalone shower cubicle.

Outside, Wanstead High Street is just a half mile on foot. Here you'll find everything this justly sought after Village has to offer. Despite the multitude of surrounding greenery Wanstead tube station will whisk you directly to Liverpool Street in just sixteen minutes, putting the City a comfortable half hour away door to door. Stroll down the High Street and you'll discover a wealth of independent cafes, stores and gastropubs offering a huge variety of options for wining and dining. Be sure to try the classic East London offerings at Robins Pie & Mash.

A word from the owner....

"Looking for our forever house, we stumbled across Wanstead and quickly understood why it's known as the oasis of East London. With its bustling high street, great quality local restaurants and pubs and acres of green space, all a tube ride away from Central London, it's the quintessential London village, and 85 Warren Road has been the perfect base to enjoy it from. We loved the house from the start, for its mix of character and practicality. Its layout is spacious and well proportioned, with the greenery and tranquility of the immediate area being the icing on the cake. Life is taking us to other places, but we will remember our Wanstead home fondly as a very nice place to live - and a hard act to follow!"
