Description

An attractive two bedroom Victorian semi-detached house, offered with no forward chain, conveniently situated close to Lymington High Street and Waitrose with the advantage of a Bothy at the end of the garden which could be used as a studio. Epr: D

The beautiful Georgian market town of Lymington, with its cosmopolitan shopping and picturesque harbour, is within easy reach of the property. Also within walking distance are the two large deep water marinas and sailing clubs for which the town has gained its status as a world renowned sailing resort, as well as an open-air seawater bath that was built in 1833. Lymington has a number of independent shops including some designer boutiques and is surrounded by the outstanding natural beauty of the New Forest National Park. On Saturday, a market is held in the High Street, the origins of which probably date back to the 13th century. To the north is the New Forest village of Lyndhurst and Junction 1 of the M27 which links to the M3 for access to London. There is also a branch line train link to Brockenhurst Railway Station (approx. 5.5 miles) which gives direct access to London Waterloo in approximately 90 minutes.

The front door opens into the hallway with stairs to the first floor with understairs storage space and door to the living room which has a square bay window and a fitted gas coal effect fire set in an attractive fire surround. The dining room overlooks the rear garden and has a working woodburner giving a focal point to the room. A door from the dining room leads into the kitchen which is fitted with a range of eye and base level painted cream wooden units with a white ceramic butler sink, space for a range cooker, fridge/freezer and space and plumbing for a washing machine. A newly installed Baxi condensing boiler provides the domestic hot water and heating system. The kitchen enjoys a lovely view of the rear garden.

The stairs have a half landing with window and lead to the first floor landing where there is access to the roof space. There are two double bedrooms, bedroom one having a square bay window to the front, feature Victorian style fireplace and picture rail. Bedroom two also has a fireplace, built-in wardrobe and an airing cupboard housing the hot water tank and shelving. The spacious bathroom comprises a Victorian style roll top bath, separate shower, wash hand basin, wc and a small period fireplace.

A wrought iron gates provides access to the footpath which leads to the front door, with outside light and to the side of the property leading through to the rear garden. The rear garden has a patio area with the remainder being laid to lawn with flower borders and an attractive brick footpath leading to the bothy at the end of the garden. This is a former stable which has had a new roof and has power, light and water connected and would make an ideal workshop or studio.
