The location is perfect. With wide, open spaces it's very peaceful and quiet, yet you enjoy easy access to Stansted airport and all of the local amenities, including a wide array of shops and restaurants that are all within walking distance.

It's very peaceful and quiet, yet you enjoy easy access to Stansted airport and all of the local amenities, including a wide array of shops and restaurants that are all within walking distance. You can spend hours just sitting and relaxing in nearby Claybury Park on a sunny day.

There's a playground for children, an outdoor gym, as well as woodland and grassy areas to explore, so it's a perfect day out for all the family to enjoy. The house and garden are perfect for entertaining. The current owners children got married here and they celebrated with ease with friends and family. There was a marquee on the lawn and it really was the perfect day. There is plenty of parking for visiting guests at the front of the property, so it is ideal for large, family gatherings.

The lounge is a very tranquil room with views over the garden so you can relax with a drink or book after a hard day at work. The layout of the home is very versatile, one of the bedrooms is currently used as an office, which is also useful for when you want to work from home. There is also a gymnasium and plenty of storage rooms on the lower ground floor.

When we first viewed the property just over 15 years ago, we were immediately impressed by the quality both inside and out.

Everything was immaculate and the size of the rooms was quite extraordinary. With 7 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, it suited my family at the time, and we had enough space to do our own things, yet we could come back together to enjoy meals together in the fabulous kitchen at the end of the day. The Juliet balcony at the front of the house was an added bonus too.

We enjoy spending time in the garden which has a large patio area and pond. It's the ideal spot to relax in the sun or have BBQs with family and friends. The garden is fully enclosed, so it's safe for young children to run and play freely. The fountain is a beautiful feature and we love to listen to the sound of the water, it's very peaceful. From a practical perspective, the side entrance has been a huge benefit as we don't have to always walk through the house.

Unfortunately the house is now too big for just the two of us. We will really miss the sound of the birds in the morning but it's time to move on.
