Popular, especially with young families - it has an excellent primary school, community shop, pub and sports and social club including tennis courts. The village even has its own festival - Chalfest. There are lovely walks in the vicinity on a network of public footpaths and the hills are popular with cyclists! London is normally under 2 hours by car or about 90 minutes from Stroud Station into Paddington. The town is the largest locally, with 4 major supermarkets, an award winning Saturday Farmers Market and a good range of independent retailers. Stroud also has a strong artistic heritage with Film and Book Festivals among others and a well supported provincial theatre. Bristol, Bath, Cheltenham, Gloucester and Swindon are all within commuting distance of here and junction 13 of the M5 motorway about 15 minutes drive.


From Stroud proceed west on the A419 towards Cirencester. After about two miles turn left immediately after Chalford Church, proceed up Old Neighbourhood and turn right into Abnash, then bear left at the three way split which becomes Burcombe Road. Continue to the far end and turn right down Middlehill, past Sawyers Electricians Shop (on the right), into Randalls Green and take the next right prior to the village school. Follow this unmarked lane a short distance, bear round to the right and 1 Cotswold Place is on the right.
