A Grade II listed beautifully and sympathetically converted early Victorian church with three bedrooms and far-reaching views, set in the middle of its own gardens in an elevated village position near Tiverton.

Built in 1854 of Exeter slatestone on the site of an earlier chapel, Old Church is Grade II listed and was rescued from dereliction by the current owners in 2009, who have painstakingly undertaken a conversion that properly reflects the building's origins, retaining many of the original architectural features. Great care has been taken to preserve a feeling of space and it is light and airy throughout. On the first floor are two double bedrooms, both with vaulted ceilings, and a bathroom, and there is a third double bedroom with an en-suite shower on the ground floor, which currently serves as a study.
The property sits centrally within the old churchyard of about half an acre. Care has been taken to preserve the original setting and the graveyard has been restored, with most of the old gravestones re-erected (these can be removed if so desired following agreement with the diocese). The garden is private and is bounded by a mix of stone walling and mature hedging, with lovely open views out over the surrounding countryside. The intrinsic character of the setting has been maintained through minimal planting alongside pre-existing mature evergreen
trees. A brick driveway extends up to a parking area in front of the house (there is scope for the parking area
be extended if required, subject to planning consent) and a gravel path extends around the property, leading to a workshop, garden store and wood store at the rear.
