Description

Offered with no onward chain comes this truly stunning and absolutely unique three bed fully detached Grade II listed cottage that dates back over 300 years. The property has kept many of its original features including, but not limited to, exposed wooden beams and a double sided log burner within an exposed brick hearth.

The cottage is tucked away on a corner plot, secluded by the most attractive greenery that surrounds the house. The property is within access of Billericay High Street and therefore the Station where trains run directly to London Liverpool Street in approximately half an hour. To the top of the road are local shops and amenities whilst the local South Green Schools offering a Nursery, Infants and Juniors are only a short walk away.

Access into the driveway is actually via a small cul-de-sac called The Willows. There is plenty of off street parking and access into the detached garage with a pitched roof power and lighting.

Internally, the property has been extended from its original build with the extension completed in keeping with the original design. Entry is via a porch which leads to the hallway. There are two reception rooms to one side; a 26' x 12' lounge/diner which shares one side of the log burner with a 12' x12' snug on the other side of the burner. The third reception room is a small study with a window.

The kitchen benefits from an external door into the garden with fitted units to both sides. Just like on the first floor, there is a three piece suite, comprising of a panelled bath, WC and wash basin. The first floor's bathroom comprises of a shower cubicle, WC and wash basin. There are three bedrooms on this level, the master bedroom benefits from a walk in dressing room.

The grounds are most attractive that surround the cottage to three sides. There is a raised ornamental fish pond & a secluded pergola.

An internal viewing comes largely recommended to fully appreciate the character of this property.

Property Description

What the owner say:

Some people love Marmite, others not so much!
This is what this cottage does to you when you see it.
When I first discovered the place, I felt like I had known it forever because of its cosy and warm welcoming atmosphere. Every room offers a window with a view over the cottage garden which attracts a lot of wildlife. Because of its south facing position, the place is very bright and airy all day long. The old wooden beams and bricks do the talking for a minimalistic decorative approach. I consider myself very lucky to have been the care taker of this unique place for the past few years and hope its next owner will live many happy memories in this delightful chocolate box.
