Description

This superbly presented detached family house is situated in the desirable village of Exminster and boasts an enviable plot. The ground floor accommodation is very spacious, with a glorious family room overlooking the extensive gardens, a bespoke fitted kitchen/breakfast room, utility room and downstairs cloakroom. You will also find a living room and study on the ground floor, as well as access to the garage. On the first floor are four bedrooms, the master benefiting from an en suite and the family bathroom. To the rear of the property are the most fantastic gardens, being an excellent size and offering great privacy. To the front of the property are further gardens, and driveway parking for at least four cars.

Situation

Exminster dates back to early Saxon times and is the Seat of the Courtenays, Earls of Devon. It was much favoured by the rich merchants of Exeter, who built fine homes in the area, and is now a thriving village community with a Post Office, church, public house, primary school, a small supermarket, dental and general surgeries. The Westbank provides a meeting place for various groups and activities as well as having a gymnasium. There is also Exminster Golf Centre nearby which is a 9-hole golf course. The village is on the west side of the Exe Estuary and is approximately 5 miles from Exeter city centre, 7 miles from the sea at Dawlish and is within easy driving distance of the M5 motorway.

Directions

From the M5 turn off at junction 30 and follow the A379 signposted Dawlish (approximately 2.5 miles). Turn left at the Matford roundabout signposted for Dawlish and Powderham (A379) and after about a third of a mile turn right (signposted Exminster). Take the first turning right into Reddaway Drive. Follow the road towards Devington Park turning right into Miller Way. Continue through the cul-de-sac where the property can be found at the top.
