Sellers Comments

As soon as we saw this house, we knew it was what we wanted and we were lucky to get this plot on this small development.

We enjoy fantastic views over the surrounding countryside and we can make the most of village life whilst local towns and cities are on the doorstep. A 10 minute hop on the bus from the stop at the bottom of the road gets you to the airport, a major railway hub, the National Exhibition Centre, a shopping mall and cinema complex.

We have enjoyed the abundance of footpaths and walkways through which we have explored miles of local countryside usually returning to the village to enjoy a well deserved drink at one of the 3 friendly Meriden pubs.

We have been a part of the developing community feel thats flourishing here especially among younger families. There have been a number of shared festivities and activities between the nearby households which we will certainly miss, from helping out on the nearby allotments to summer barbeques (all welcome but not mandatory!).

We will be lucky to find a new location with as many local recreational activities as here, such as the three embarrassingly close golf courses (one of which we're members of), tennis, hockey and horse riding are all within easy reach to name but a few. Meriden is also know for its cycle history, with many a cycle club using routes that include the village.

Property Location

Meriden is a wonderful village. The pub is fabulous and you will always be greeted with a warm welcome, a roaring fire and fine food and drink. Meriden, claims to be the official centre of England, which means you are within reach of everywhere, particularly Birmingham, Solihull, Knowle & Balsall Common. You are also only 4 miles from Birmingham Airport where you can be whizzed off to warmer climes.

The village has everything you want from a village; sports clubs, country walks, a friendly pub, fish and chip shop and a thriving and friendly community. Berryfields Farm Shop is a personal favourite place.

Property Lifestyle

Being able to work from home in a large, dedicated study with tremendous views to the countryside means calls and meetings can be conducted in peace and quiet which also promotes time for concentration and contemplation.

In summer especially, the downstairs space can be opened up to allow a circular flow including access to the large patio (which is perfect for entertaining).

Conversely, during winter time, the space can be closed down for cosy nights in.

The kitchen and dining area is the largest room of the house and is the heart of our home. We like to cook and bake whilst still feeling connected to what's going on in the house.

Many enjoyable times have been had around the dinner table discussing the day's events or relaxing with a glass of wine and maybe a board game or two.
