The first time we walked into number 18 we knew it was the family home for us. Lowther Road is lovely and quiet, while the house is full of great times, memories and milestones with all the children. We extended into the loft so we could stay here longer, and made sure the same light and airy feel carried on from the ground floor right through to the roof. Daily life all happens in the kitchen diner and looking out into the garden - be it starting the day before schools, or ending the day with the family dinner.
The location has been perfect for Primary schools, Secondaries for both the boys and the girls, and easy access to town and the station as the children grew up and developed their own individual independence. While they all have their own space to go to, we also have all the space we need even when we’re eating and laughing together. It will be a wrench to leave, but the timing is good now for the next stages of our family’s life. We truly hope you enjoy and make it as much a home as we have.

When it comes to ideal family homes, this one has to be right up there. Not only is the accommodation, style and condition excellent but the location makes it perfect for families. Having sold this house to the current owners when it was new in 2015, it has undergone a transformation into five double bedrooms over now three floors. Our sellers have summed up perfectly why it's been such a great family home for them but now being offered with no chain is a real bonus.
The bright and airy entrance hall has storage under the stairs and ample space for coats and shoes whilst having the all important cloakroom. The solid wood flooring runs through into the living room which as you can see it dual aspect, but we absolutely love the large bay window to the front which cleverly incorporates seating and storage. The shutters on the windows are of excellent quality and are a theme that runs throughout this home. Moving towards the back of the house, you enter the beautifully finished, open plan kitchen diner with the sliding doors onto the garden. This is the hub of the home and where our sellers spend most of their time, the kitchen specification is superb with integrated appliances and even a wine cooler. It's got plenty of storage but if you need a bit more space then you have a separate utility room, this is an absolute must have for a family home and keeps both washer and dryer out of the open plan kitchen. What you can't see from the details is the underfloor heating and that it uses a heat pump.
Upstairs there are five good size double bedrooms over two floors with plenty of room for freestanding furniture. The open landing creates an ideal place to sit and unwind like our sellers have used it for, they have also had clever storage built into the staircase with pull out drawers. But the master bedroom is one of our personal favourite rooms in this house, sharing the same footprint of the living room. Not only does it have stacks of space but you have a really well finished en suite four piece bathroom. It's worth noting that the home comes complete with an internal sensor alarm system with colour CCTV and external cameras with audio.
The rear garden as you can tell is not only a great size, but extremely private which is rare to find. At the back the garden you will notice a sizeable outbuilding in which our sellers have created the perfect work from home space. Not only does it have power and internet but it also boasts air conditioning for the warmer months. To the front you have ample driveway parking for multiple vehicles with plenty of on road parking should you need it. Lowther Road is a great spot within the popular Emmbrook area of Wokingham. The home sits just a few minutes walk away from both Emmbrook Primary and Junior Schools. The property is also within easy access to The Holt school for girls. If you're looking for some open green space then Old Forest Meadows is just under a 15 minute walk away, Cantley Park also being very close by. Wokingham Town centre and the train station are just over a mile away with the town offering an incredible selection of amenities. There are some great transport links too with easy access onto the A329, M4 & M3 from here.
