The house is in an elevated and tucked away setting yet close to the sea and town centre. It provides the perfect balance of tranquility and convenience in this popular seaside town.
This elegant property combines the charm of coastal living with the comforts of modern design, offering light-filled and well-proportioned rooms.
The front door opens in to an entrance hall, which leads through to an inner hall. In turn there is a sitting room, family room, garden room, kitchen/ breakfast room, utility and study. Stairs lead up to the bedroom accommodation.
The elegantly proportioned, light-filled sitting room benefits from a triple aspect and features a wood-burning stove.
The spacious, double-aspect kitchen/breakfast room is impressive, featuring a double height vaulted ceiling, a second wood-burning stove and glazed French doors leading out to a covered veranda. The kitchen is superbly equipped with work surfaces, a central island, and a gas-fired Aga.
A door from the hall or a separate door from the kitchen lead through to the family room, which has French doors to the garden room providing attractive views over the garden. Further French doors open through to the garden.
Completing the ground floor is a study, ideal for working from home or quiet relaxation. Additionally there is a useful utility room and cloakroom.
Stairs lead up to the first floor accommodation and is served by a large, central landing. The dual aspect principal bedroom overlooks the balcony and the garden. It has a built-in wardrobe and an en-suite shower room. A second bedroom has similar en-suite facilities as well as built-in wardrobes. There are a further two good sized bedrooms, a family bathroom and glazed French doors offering access to the south-facing balcony.
Gardens
10 St Peter’s Road is approached via a tarmac driveway, which has ample off road parking. Solid double gates and a smaller pedestrian gate provide access to the front and back garden. To the front there is a front lawn with kitchen garden and paved terracing, giving access to the raised veranda.
To the rear there is a large established garden, which is special for a house on the coast. The garden is mainly laid to lawn with trees and flower borders. There is an excellent insulated summerhouse/studio and a useful garden shed/work shop.
