Comment From Robert Reed Of Gascoigne Halman
This is a property of very considerable distinction and is one that means a lot to me personally, having overseen its sale to the present owners twenty one years ago. It has become a treasured family home since that point and has been subject to huge investments of time, thought and capital both internally and externally. The result is a beautiful home of character that is substantial yet cosy, old yet tastefully contemporary whilst being set in a grounds that are over two acres, yet relatively manageable. It is offered to the market at both a competitive price and with no ongoing chain.
The detached house is at the head of a small select development of just six individual houses, all of which have a striking and significant visual appeal due to their Tudor appearance and styling and date from circa 1888. Despite its rural feel, the property is only two miles from Tarporley village and within a half hour walk of Bunbury Church and the adjoining Dysart Arms, one of the most popular pub restaurants in the locality.
There are also excellent walks on the doorstep, without the need to get in the car. In addition to walks along the nearby canal and across open fields via a network of public footpaths.
The property itself is known as the Clock House and with that in mind I venture to suggest that it is time you booked in to see it! Internally, this is a house that has a really terrific atmosphere, is packed with a fabulous range of period features and offers and appealing design that optimises living space and comfort.
