‘When we bought our property, we knew it was in need of full renovation. This allowed us, as it was a blank canvas, to improve and enhance the bungalow to a fresh modern and updated home which greatly improved the energy efficiency from an E to a C.We designed a complete new kitchen with an AEG electric double oven, an AEG induction hob, Elicia extractor hood, ceramic one and a half bowl sink with mixer tap, plenty of storage cupboards and space for a washing machine, dishwasher, tumble dryer and fridge freezer. Also there is a new external kitchen door with built in Venetian blind.
We love the large bright and airy double bedrooms and we added a triple wardrobe with full length mirror to the master bedroom. In addition to the existing shower room, we were able to create a family bathroom with sink, WC and a large Carronite Dove corner bath.
The garage was converted into an extra room which is currently being used as a guest bedroom, study / snug.
We employed a good and trusted local builder to carry out the renovation. They fully rewired the property, installed a new consumer unit with all new multiple sockets throughout. Where renovation was carried out all Artex ceilings were replaced and all the walls and ceilings were re-plastered and repainted.
New flooring was laid throughout and a new boiler was installed together with all new radiators. All work carried out to current building regulations.
MC glass, a local glazing company, installed new double glazed units throughout.
We have loved the area of Little Common. There are a number of lovely shops just around the corner from the bungalow. This includes a local Tesco, a baker, a butcher, a delicatessen, hairdressers, cafes, lovely local restaurants, a local pub, a post office and there is a doctor’s surgery just across the road.
Cooden Beach station is about a mile away and is a direct line to London.
Little Common has so much to offer and we have loved living here.’
