My house is situated in a cud de sac with views down the road and across the city. It’s always lovely to see the city lights in the nights from the kitchen and dinning area window and when there are fireworks display. Also to see the activities of people coming and going about their daily life in the cud de sac.

I lived here with my husband and three children for more than a decade. This house has serve my family well. My three children had plenty of space to ride their bikes and played on their roller skates. We also took advantage of Norwood Park which is only a few minutes walk away. Streatham Common park is in walking distance. Crystal Palace Park is a short drive or a good walk away.

When I first view the house I didn’t like that the bedrooms were downstairs but I like the open plan living space upstairs. But it was not long after living here that I came to appreciated the bedrooms downstairs, especially when I became ill and was not able to go up the stairs but I could still have access to the garden.
The easy south aspect garden is great for drying your washing and enjoying the morning sun with a cuppa. We have lots of fun memories of times spent in the garden as a family; relaxing and chatting with a drink or a conetta, and playing games. We also had a pet rabbit which was quite entertaining.
We loved living here and will missed this home not being part of our lives anymore, as it has served us well. It’s not a drafty home, it’s easy to warm up. With the added benefit of air conditioning upstairs that also can switch to heating as well. Great for when you have been away and want to put some heat in the home quickly on return. Or just a little extra heat for those cold chilly summers days. (incidentally the ac was installed because my husband had an heart condition and was not able to cope with heat waves)

Just some other features that we found useful: The loft is a good space for storing extra things, suitcases or bulk buys etc. There are also three other storage in the garden for anything that needs to be stored outside. Something else that we found useful is an outside pipe in the garden which is handy for watering plants if need be but also to wash your car in the parking areas outside the garden.
Our house is in walking distance to the doctors and other facilities in the area.
I hope you will like our house and enjoy living here as much as we do.
