Brickworks Says
It takes great skill to make style look this effortless. But look a little closer, and you’ll see that the owners of this light-filled house have gone to considerable lengths to achieve such flawless results. From top to toe, the house is cohesive, soothing and neutral, with high-spec touches that avoid being sleek. The living room fireplace has been brought back to life with a marble surround and slate hearth. And new double-glazed, sash windows, solid oak floors, and a deep green, shaker-style kitchen all add up to a sense of a job very well done.
Upstairs, three comfortable-sized bedrooms are all styled in the same satisfyingly simple fashion, with custom-joinery, including wardrobes in the main bedroom and a beautifully minimalist bathroom. The careful attention to detail continues outside. The house has been repointed to give it a new lease of life, and London stock brick has been sourced for the new garden wall. At the rear, there are two decked platforms to chase the sun, so you can pick your spot to enjoy the delightful garden in full bloom.
Seven Sisters is an area that continues to thrive. From sensational sourdough pizza at True Craft to refined plates at Pasero, there are plenty of options for food and drink. It’s long been popular with a creative crowd, and with the borough being named London Borough of Culture for 2027, you can’t help feeling it’s really on the up. Plus, the area is not short on green spaces, with delightful Downhills Park just a stroll away and the Markfield Park festival highlighting local community spirit at its best.
The Owners Say
Beaconsfield Road has offered us the perfect balance — a generous period home with a welcoming community that feels creative and connected. One thing about the house we’ve enjoyed and know we’re unlikely to get again is the quality of light - it’s flooded with sunlight from morning to evening, with peaceful views of greenery at the back and the sky at the front. Our children will miss spending hours playing in the garden, climbing the fig tree, and enjoying the local football court and playground on Lawrence Road.
The local food is another amazing highlight with endless options— from the ever-changing residences at Pasero to the unforgettable Egusi Bowl at Chuku’s. It’s hard to imagine a better place to have called home.
