The front door opens to an internal porch lobby, with space for coat and shoe storage. Once through to the hallway, the house begins to offer glimpses of its quirky style. There is a sitting room to the front, with full length windows and a decorative fireplace. It is semi-open plan to a spacious study with a view over the garden through wide windows and roof lights above. Lower down is a dining area or family space. The kitchen, with a full width window onto the garden and a view into the raised family area, has a built in appliances including an oil-fired Aga. There is a semi-open plan utility room and a side door to the garden return. The ground floor also includes a cloakroom with shower and an impressively large walk-in coat and shoe cupboard.
Upstairs, the four bedrooms are all doubles. Three have built in wardrobes and all benefit from large windows allowing in plenty of light. There is a family bathroom and an additional separate shower room. The loft also provides extra storage space.
Outside space
At the front, the house is set at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac. There is a driveway with parking for multiple vehicles and a garage with an up and over door. There is also a lawned area to the front and a gate for garden access at the side.
At the rear, the garden is well landscaped and provides stunning views over the Chiltern hills. There is a lower patio and ramp to the raised paved seating area accessed from the family room. Most of the garden is laid to lawn. There are beautifully maintained flower beds, a pair of mature apple trees and a charming stepping stone path around to a summer house which faces west to catch the evening sun.
