Vendor Comment: ‘I have lived in The Bank for four years - I had just started my career when I moved to Bristol, and despite now being ready for a change, I will always miss and be grateful for having the perfect home in this Totterdown flat. As the name suggests, the building used to be a bank before being converted into flats, which means the walls are thick and the property feels safe and secure (with the added benefit of spacious hallways). Since moving in I have installed a new integrated kitchen, replaced the shower, and recarpeted the bedroom - plus the usual new paint/wallpaper/door handles/shelves.
The location has been ideal, not too busy, but close to Temple Meads, Cabots and the city centre, with an added benefit of shops just across the road (and if you like theatre/musicals like me, the Bristol Hippodrome is within walking distance). There is a secure bike shed in the building if you enjoy cycling, and key locations are very walkable, but the flat is also right on all the key bus routes if you do not fancy it, or the weather is drizzly! What originally drew me in was the unique windows, which frame beautiful sunsets and views over the city and Clifton Suspension Bridge - the trees outside obscure the road and daffodils grow on the courtyard during Spring. There is a park a five-minute walk away (Victoria Park) which is deceptively big and a nice escape from the city when needed - I spent hours studying there during the warmer months.’
