Nether Cerne is a small hamlet two miles south of the sought after village of Cerne Abbas and five miles north of the county town Dorchester. Cerne is probably most famous for its Giant carved into the chalk hillside, but also has many places of interest including an ancient church, medieval abbey, Tudor cottages, village shop and three pubs. There is also a primary school and a doctors' surgery. A bus service runs to the towns of Dorchester, Sherborne and Yeovil. The main towns of Dorchester and Sherborne are roughly equidistant where a wide range of facilities for education, entertainment, health and leisure can be found. Communications are excellent with main line railway links to London Waterloo from all the major centres, cross channel services at Poole, an airport at Bournemouth and there is a very effective road network.

Externally the property has much to offer with grounds extending to just under an acre, made up of three distinct areas and a paved courtyard to the rear. The gardens are mostly laid to lawn interspersed with mature trees and shrubs with a tributary of the River Cerne flowing along the western boundary. Two bridges crossing the river make for attractive features of the garden. A gravel driveway and parking area provides parking for a number of vehicles which could also be extended on should you require. A detached double garage provides external storage space.
