A superb Grade II Listed Old Rectory dating back to the early 17th century balancing original features with updated and extended rooms. Upon entering into a hallway with flagstone floors there are steps down to a thoughtfully designed recently modernised kitchen with exposed beams, contemporary stone tiled flooring, modern appliances and a breakfast island.
From the kitchen you may enter into the oak framed sun room with underfloor heating, a vaulted ceiling and has the benefit of views over the garden and church beyond. The delightful main sitting room has two period fireplaces, bespoke shelving and sash windows allowing for excellent natural light. The well proportioned dining room has an imposing limestone fireplace with a period bread oven, flagstones and is perfect for entertaining. From the dining room there is access to a private library/office with two walls of fitted shelving as well as leading through to a further hallway and a secondary kitchen which may be used as an annexe if required as there is a bedroom and shower room above.
On the first floor there are three double bedrooms all with their own individual characteristics including a fireplace, built-in wardrobes and sinks. Two of the bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms. On the second floor there is a further double bedroom with a vaulted ceiling, a dormer window, bespoke book shelves and a doorway leading through to the en-suite. Overall a very comfortable family house.
Outside
With the house located side on to the road there are gardens on three sides of the Rectory. These gardens have been landscaped to encompass a variety of uses. There are mature shrubs, trees, box hedging, stone walls and areas of lawn making for a terrific outside environment. The left hand end of the house has two outbuildings at present a laundry room and a storeroom which previously had planning permission for a drive-through garage and parking.
