Ferryside also offers a railway station with national railway connections including to Cardiff, Manchester and London. Good road routes provide quick access to neighbouring towns. Carmarthen and the A48 M4 link road that is only about 9.5 miles to the north. Swansea is about 24 miles to the south-east while Cardiff is about 78 miles to the south east.
