Only those who enjoy being part of a small quiet community need apply. Sitting in almost the heart of Winterbourne village, it’s the community within the community. A place where neighbours become firm friends and almost family. But all the while if you wish, you can keep yourself to yourself on your balcony, admiring the far reaching views. However if you do want to mingle, the well-tended communal gardens are ideal, you can even get involved.
Being set within the village, you are only a few minutes away from the Tesco Express, if you need a pint of milk or if you fancy a slightly different pint the pub is just a couple of doors down from Tesco. With a second selection of shops, just around the corner. For those wishing to stretch their legs, the only choice is in which direction. Head down along Nicholls Lane towards the open countryside and the Cloisters or follow the road round as it becomes Hicks Common Road and the local land mark of the Duck Pond.
As you pull into the car park, the first thing to greet you is how green and lush the surroundings are. The second thing is the gravelled driveway, with both being hidden behind a very impressive wall. With telephone entry allowing you access the communal entrance, you already feel safe and secure in your own home. As you head up the stairs to the first floor, you can already sense what the views and the brightness of the property will be. Open the front door there is a small inner lobby that then opens up into the main entrance. Access to all the accommodation is off of the entrance. There is a rather impressive storage/coat cupboard that also houses the electric fuse box. The lounge/diner is the perfect sanctuary, which offers not only views over part of the village, but a chance to watch the seasons changing, but the most amazing sunrises & sunsets. The lounge/diner has not only a large window, underfloor heating, but a door leads out onto the balcony. Perfect for the morning coffee or a cool refreshing G&T! Sitting nicely next to the lounge/diner is the kitchen. Again a very light and bright room. With space and plumbing for a fridge/freezer and washing machine & an oven and hob. The bathroom has been updated for ease. With the bath being removed and a good sized shower replacing it. However you could switch things back if you so desired. The bathroom also houses the hot water tank. The Master bedroom is a very good sized double, like the lounge, it has a large window with a very different view of the village. Again a very light room. In modern apartments the second bedroom is usually a slightly bigger single room, in the case of Nicholls Court this isn’t so, it’s a double, and although it’s next to the Master & faces the front of the building, it has an almost completely different view, which is equally stunning. Rounding off the property is the garage in a block, with power and light. At various times of the day there is always plenty of parking, with each flat having two spaces. The property is being sold chain free.
